Tater Tot Casserole with Ground Beef

Ingredients
  

Meat and Dairy
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup 10.5 oz can
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
  • 1 bag frozen tater tots 32 oz
  • to taste salt and pepper optional seasonings: garlic powder, paprika

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook ground beef with onions, seasonings, then stir in soup and sour cream. Layer in a greased dish, top with 1 cup cheese.
  3. Arrange tater tots over cheese, bake for 25-30 minutes until crispy. Top with remaining cheese and bake 5 more minutes.
  4. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, add garlic powder or paprika to the beef mixture.
