Nachos Ingredients
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 bag tortilla chips
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup salsa
  • 1/4 cup sliced black olives
  • 1/4 cup pickled jalapeños
  • Optional: Guacamole, diced tomatoes, green onions

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Brown ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Drain excess grease.
  3. Stir in taco seasoning and water. Simmer for 5-7 minutes, or until liquid is absorbed.
  4. Spread tortilla chips on a baking sheet.
  5. Top chips with seasoned ground beef and shredded cheddar cheese.
  6. Bake for 5-10 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Remove from oven and top with sour cream, salsa, black olives, and jalapeños.
  8. Add optional toppings as desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

For spicier nachos, use a hotter salsa or add more jalapeños.
