  • 9 cups Rice Chex cereal
  • 1 cup butter (2 sticks)
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 0.5 cup peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1.5 cups powdered sugar
  • Red food coloring
  • Yellow food coloring

Method
 

  1. Measure out the Rice Chex cereal in a large bowl.
  2. Melt butter, chocolate chips, and peanut butter in microwave, stirring until smooth.
  3. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Add red and yellow food coloring to achieve a Chiefs red color.
  5. Pour chocolate mixture over cereal and stir until coated.
  6. Combine powdered sugar and coated cereal in a ziplock bag.
  7. Seal and shake until cereal is coated in powdered sugar.
  8. Spread on wax paper to cool completely.
  9. Store in an airtight container.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate chips.
