Ingredients
  

Shrimp
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
Pasta
  • 8 ounces pasta (spaghetti, fettuccine, or your favorite type)
Sauce Base
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream (or half-and-half)
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth (or vegetable broth)
Cheese and Seasonings
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon italian seasoning
  • to taste salt and pepper
Garnish
  • for garnish fresh basil or parsley, chopped

Method
 

  1. Cook pasta in boiling salted water until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  2. Sauté shrimp in olive oil until pink, then remove and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, sauté garlic, add broth and cream, then simmer.
  4. Whisk in Parmesan, season with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  5. Add cooked pasta and shrimp to the sauce, toss, and serve garnished with herbs.

Notes

Use fresh herbs for the best flavor and adjust seasoning to taste.
