Ingredients
  

Bananas
  • 3 pieces ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. Mix mashed bananas with melted butter, then add baking soda, salt, sugar, egg, and vanilla.
  3. Stir in flour and oats until just combined, then fold in chocolate chips and cinnamon.
  4. Pour batter into pan and bake for 50-60 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  5. Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For extra flavor, add nuts or a sprinkle of cinnamon on top before baking.
