  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning low sodium
  • 1 can refried beans low fat, low sodium
  • 1 cup guacamole homemade or store-bought, check ingredients
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt fat-free
  • 1 cup salsa low sodium
  • 1/2 cup shredded reduced-fat cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
Optional Toppings
  • chopped tomatoes Optional
  • black olives Optional
  • cilantro Optional

Method
 

  1. Brown ground beef, drain fat.
  2. Stir in taco seasoning, cook per package.
  3. Spread refried beans on the bottom of a dish.
  4. Layer guacamole over beans.
  5. Spread Greek yogurt over guacamole.
  6. Top with cooked ground beef.
  7. Spread salsa over ground beef.
  8. Sprinkle with cheese and green onions.
  9. Add optional toppings.
  10. Serve with tortilla chips or vegetable sticks.

Notes

For a spicier dip, use a hotter salsa or add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the ground beef.
