Method
- Brown the ground beef or lamb in a skillet. Drain excess grease.
- Transfer the browned meat to the crockpot.
- Add the chopped onion, carrots, and celery to the crockpot.
- Stir in thyme, rosemary, beef broth, peas, corn, and Worcestershire sauce.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
- Boil potatoes until tender. Drain and mash with milk/cream, butter, salt, and pepper.
- Spread mashed potatoes over the meat mixture in the crockpot.
- Cover and cook on high for 30 minutes to heat through.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
For a richer flavor, use lamb instead of beef. You can also add other vegetables like mushrooms or green beans.
