Ingredients
  

Protein
  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • salt, to taste salt
  • black pepper, to taste black pepper
Fats & Oils
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter
Aromatics
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
Dairy
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • juice of 1 fresh lemon (about 3 tablespoons) tablespoons lemon juice
  • zest of 1 lemon lemon zest
Cheese
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Herbs
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Method
 

  1. Season chicken with salt and pepper. Cook in a skillet with oil until golden and cooked through, about 5-6 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  2. Sauté garlic in the same skillet until fragrant, then add heavy cream, lemon juice, lemon zest, and Parmesan. Stir until sauce thickens slightly and cheese melts.
  3. Return chicken to the skillet, spoon sauce over, and simmer for 2-3 minutes. Garnish with parsley and serve warm.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes or serve with a side of steamed vegetables or pasta.
