Method
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Brown ground beef in a skillet, drain excess grease.
- Add onion and celery, cook until softened (5 min).
- Stir in soup, milk, salt, and pepper. Simmer.
- Pour beef mixture into a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Spread mashed potatoes evenly over the beef.
- Sprinkle with cheese, if desired.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until heated through and cheese is melted.
Notes
For a richer flavor, use homemade mashed potatoes with butter and cream.
