Ingredients
  

Dry ingredients
  • 2 cups cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon teaspoon salt
Wet ingredients
  • 2/3 cup cups granulated sugar or packed brown sugar
  • 4 tablespoons tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs eggs, room temperature
  • 1½ cups cups mashed ripe bananas about 3 large or 4 medium
  • 1/3 cup cups plain Greek yogurt or sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Cinnamon sugar for swirl
  • 1/4 cup cups granulated sugar
  • 1½ teaspoons teaspoons ground cinnamon
Icing
  • 1/2 cup cups confectioners’ sugar, sifted
  • 1 tablespoon tablespoon heavy cream or milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C). Grease a loaf pan.
  2. Mix dry ingredients. Cream butter and sugar, then add eggs, bananas, yogurt, and vanilla.
  3. Combine wet and dry, then swirl cinnamon sugar into batter. Pour into pan and make gentle swirls.
  4. Bake for 55–65 minutes, cool, then drizzle with icing.

Notes

Use ripe bananas for best flavor and moisture.
