Ingredients
  

Dry ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
Wet ingredients
  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar or packed brown sugar
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs room temperature
  • 1.5 cups mashed ripe bananas about 3 large or 4 medium
  • 1/3 cup plain Greek yogurt or sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Cinnamon sugar for swirl
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1.5 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup confectioners’ sugar, sifted
  • 1 tablespoon heavy cream or milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C). Grease a loaf pan.
  2. Mix dry ingredients. Cream butter and sugar, then add eggs, bananas, yogurt, and vanilla.
  3. Combine wet and dry ingredients. Mix cinnamon and sugar for swirl.
  4. Pour batter into pan, add cinnamon sugar swirl, and make gentle swirls. Bake for 55–65 minutes.
  5. Cool, then whisk icing ingredients and drizzle over bread.

Notes

Use ripe bananas for best flavor and moisture.
