Method
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Mix dry ingredients.
- Cream butter and sugar, then add egg, vanilla, and almond extracts.
- Gradually blend dry ingredients into wet mixture. Roll dough into 1-inch balls, coat in sugar.
- Place on baking sheets, bake 8-10 minutes until edges are golden.
- Cool briefly on sheets, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
Notes
For softer cookies, slightly underbake and let cool on sheets.
