Ingredients
  

Bananas
  • 2 pieces ripe bananas, mashed
Butter
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
Sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
Egg
  • 1 large large egg
Vanilla Extract
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Flour
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
Baking Soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
Chocolate Chips
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x9 inch pan.
  2. Mix mashed bananas and melted butter.
  3. Stir in sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Combine dry ingredients and fold into wet mixture; add chocolate chips if desired.
  5. Pour batter into pan and bake for 20-25 minutes.
  6. Cool before cutting into squares.

Notes

For extra flavor, add nuts or more chocolate chips.
